Antartica Marathon - 2010

Suffolk County Lodge #124 member Fred Lipsky ran for "The Fred's Team" which is a group of marathon runners who run marathons around the world and who raise money for Pediatrics Cancer Research at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.  The charity is called "The Aurbrey Fund".  Fred had become the first person in history to have run a full 26.1 mile marathon on all 7 continents, each as a separate fund raiser for Pediatrics Caner Research at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, completing his 7th continent in 2003 in Kenya Africa inside a game preserve among the wild animals.  Most of the almost $140,000 that Fred has raised since 1996 came from The F.O.P. Charity Golf Outings.
